The Pirate Park

If you’ve got a toddler obsessed with pirates, this one’s worth the trip. The centrepiece ship structure is genuinely well done — slides, climbing bits, the works — and the sandbox keeps little ones busy long after you’ve run out of energy. It got a proper revamp not too long ago, and you can tell the money was well spent. There’s a café on site which, honestly, makes all the difference when you need a coffee and somewhere to sit while the kids run it out on the open grass. Parking, loos, benches — it’s all sorted, and they run community events through the year that give it a real neighbourhood feel.
