Auchenblae Den

If you’re local to Laurencekirk and haven’t made it out to Auchenblae Den yet, you’re missing a solid afternoon. The burn running through the site is the real draw — kids are obsessed with it, and honestly it keeps them entertained longer than any fixed play equipment would. There’s plenty of open grass for a kickabout or just letting younger ones run themselves ragged, plus picnic tables if you actually want to sit down and eat without balancing a plate on your knee. The walking path is a nice touch too, and the outdoor gym means adults don’t have to just stand around watching.
