Almondvale Play Park

Decent wee park that works well for the 4-and-up crowd — there’s a climbing structure, a couple of slides, and swings that keep older kids busy without feeling like it’s aimed at toddlers. The benches are well-positioned so you can actually keep an eye on things without hovering, and the walking path around the area is a nice touch if you fancy a wander. It sits close to the pond, which gives it a more relaxed feel than your average urban park. Worth knowing there’s a skate park just across the river, so if you’ve got older kids in tow, you can easily split your time between the two. Cleanliness can be hit or miss depending on the day, so maybe don’t plan a picnic without checking first.
