Riverside Play Area

Right on the river in Wick, this little play area punches above its weight for a town this size. The pond is genuinely worth a look — you’ll spot all sorts of insects and plants depending on the time of year, and kids tend to get distracted by it before they even reach the swings. Speaking of which, there’s a decent setup of swings, slides, and climbing frames that keeps the younger ones busy. Paths are clean and well-kept, benches are dotted around if you need a sit-down, and the river views make the whole thing feel a bit more special than your average park visit.
