Scolton Country Park playground

If you’re based around Haverfordwest and haven’t taken the kids to Scolton Country Park yet, you’re missing a proper day out. The playground itself covers the basics well — slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox — but what makes it worth the trip is the setting right on the edge of the forest, with trails you can explore once the little ones have burned off some energy. The enclosed area means you can actually relax on one of the benches or grab a picnic table without constantly chasing toddlers toward the car park. Shade trees keep things bearable on the warmer days, and visibility is good throughout, so parents aren’t constantly craning their necks. Suits kids from about two up to twelve, and there’s a decent open grass field if someone needs to kick a ball around.
