Right on the sand in Huntington Beach, Pirate Park is the kind of spot locals keep in their back pocket for a reason. The whole place is built around accessibility — rubber matting, ramps, and an inclusive swing mean kids of pretty much any ability can actually play together, not just watch from the sidelines. There’s a solid mix of slides, swings for the little ones and older kids, plus a tightrope-and-plank setup that the adventurous types will be on immediately. Shade trees and covered seating make it survivable for parents on a hot SoCal afternoon, and the restrooms are close and clean, which matters more than people admit. Toss in a water feature, an open grass field, and the beach basically at your feet — it’s a full day if you want it to be.
