If you live in Thousand Oaks and have kids, you’ve probably already discovered this one. The playground covers the basics well — slides and swings for the little ones — but the real draw is everything surrounding it: a basketball court, a soccer field, and open grass that actually gives you room to spread out. Shade trees and covered seating mean you’re not roasting while the kids do their thing, and the BBQ and picnic tables make it easy to turn a quick outing into a full afternoon. The trail access right nearby is a bonus if you want to squeeze in a hike before or after. Clean restrooms, solid parking — it just works.
