Metzler Ranch Community Park

If you live on the south end of Castle Rock, this is basically your backyard park — and honestly, you could do a lot worse. The skate park gets pretty consistent use, and the baseball diamonds are well-kept enough that you’ll actually want to stick around and watch a game. Grab a spot under the shade trees or the gazebo and you’ve got solid Front Range mountain views without having to drive anywhere. There’s public art scattered around that gives it a little more personality than your average suburban park, and the whole place is clean in a way that tells you someone actually maintains it. Good walking path, open grass for kids to burn off energy — it covers all the bases.
