The playground is fenced in, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to actually relax for five minutes while the toddlers do their thing. Pack a cooler and claim one of the picnic tables near the grills — families are out here doing it right on weekends. The lake views are legitimately pretty, and if you time it right around sunset, you’ll see why the locals keep coming back. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and enough open grass that older kids won’t feel left out either.
