Hickam Community Playground

A large, sand-surfaced playground that functions as the social center for military families on base — it has the variety to justify the reputation, with slides of all sizes, toddler and big-kid swings, monkey bars, climbing structures, and shaded picnic tables. The honest downside is deferred maintenance; multiple pieces of equipment are in poor repair and evening lighting is lacking. When it’s functioning well, though, it’s a genuinely good park.
