If you want shade and a little breathing room, this is honestly one of the better spots in Bloomington. The equipment covers a solid range — slides and swings for the little ones, a seesaw you don’t see much anymore, plus a water feature that buys you an extra hour on a hot afternoon. Parents can actually sit down in the shaded seating and still see everything, which isn’t a given at a lot of parks. The paved trails connect out toward forest areas, so if your kids are the type who’d rather chase each other through trees than hit the playground, there’s room for that too. Quiet neighborhood, easy parking, restrooms on site — it just works.
