Switchyard Park Splash Pad

If you haven’t taken the kids to Switchyard’s splash pad on a hot Bloomington summer day, you’re missing out on one of the best free afternoon options in town. The AstroTurf hills are a genuinely clever touch — kids slide down them on their own or just roll around while parents actually get to sit for five minutes. There are real slides too, plus the whole setup stays noticeably clean compared to a lot of other local parks. Restrooms, a baby changing station, and solid parking make it easy with little ones in tow. Bonus: you’re right on the B-line trail, so it’s easy to tack on a walk before or after.
