Carey Grove Park

If you live on the north side of Carmel, you probably already know about this one. Carey Grove has that rare combination of actually clean restrooms, decent shade, and enough variety that kids of different ages don’t end up fighting over the same equipment — there are separate zones that genuinely work. The musical pieces are a nice touch, way more engaging than the usual filler equipment you see phoned in at other parks. Beyond the playground itself, there’s a soccer field, a bike track, open grass, and a walking path, so you can easily burn a couple of hours here without running out of things to do. Soft surfacing underfoot, picnic tables, shaded seating — it’s the kind of park where you don’t feel like you’re roughing it just to let your kids run around.
