If you haven’t been to Southern Stone yet, you’re genuinely missing out on one of Lafayette’s better-kept secrets. Kids six and up can climb here, and the staff actually takes time to help beginners figure things out instead of just pointing at the wall and walking off. It’s the kind of place where you’ll work up a real sweat without it feeling like a chore. The community that’s built up around this gym is tight-knit but not cliquey — new faces get welcomed pretty quickly. Good for a weekend outing, good for a regular habit.
