Mackinac Island Playground

If you’re doing the island circuit and the kids hit their wall, this little spot right along the shore is a solid save. There’s a climbing structure, slides, and swings — nothing over-the-top, but enough to keep children genuinely busy while you sit on a bench and actually decompress. The views of the Mackinac Bridge from here are legitimately good, the kind you’d stop for even without kids in tow. Tack it onto a walk along the waterfront path and it stops feeling like a detour and starts feeling like the point.
