Most visitors blowing through Mackinac Island on a fudge-and-ferry schedule never even find this place, which is honestly fine by the locals. It’s a low-key spot with good shade trees and a wide open grass field where kids can actually run without dodging tourist foot traffic. The water nearby keeps things cooler in summer, and the whole area just feels quieter than you’d expect from an island this popular. Nothing fancy here — and that’s exactly the point.
