Rochester locals know this one’s a gem. The wooden castle structure is the real draw — kids go absolutely feral for it in the best way, and it holds up well for everyone from wobbly 2-year-olds to older kids who still want to climb something with some personality. The sandbox here is genuinely massive, and someone had the smart idea to keep a stash of shared toys out there, so you don’t have to haul half your house from the car. It’s fully fenced, restrooms are on-site, and sightlines are good enough that you can actually sit down for five minutes without losing track of anyone. Community-built, and it shows — this place has that rare feeling of people actually caring how it turned out.
