Honestly, the shade here is the real selling point — those mature trees make it actually bearable on a hot Missouri summer afternoon, which isn’t something you can say about a lot of parks in the area. Kids from toddlers up through tweens stay busy between the climbing structure, swings, and sandbox, and there’s a basketball court for the older ones who’ve outgrown the play equipment. The walking path that connects toward the wooded edge is a nice touch if you want to stretch your legs while the kids burn energy. Restrooms are clean, the picnic tables are plentiful, and parking is easy — basically everything that makes a park actually usable, not just pretty on paper.
