The climbing structure keeps kids busy long enough for you to actually sit down and eat something at one of the picnic tables — there’s decent shade tree cover too, which matters in the summer. The merry go round is one of those old-school touches you don’t see everywhere anymore, and the water feature gives younger kids something to do when the heat picks up. Basketball court and a wide open grass field mean older kids and adults aren’t just standing around waiting. It’s the kind of park that works for a quick after-school stop or a full afternoon out.
