Prentiss Park

If you’re in the area and need a solid park that actually does a lot of things well, Prentiss Park delivers. The playground has a climbing structure plus a drum and xylophone station that the younger kids absolutely lose their minds over — genuinely one of the more unique touches you’ll find at a neighborhood park in Akron. Older kids can head straight to the basketball court or soccer field while the little ones play, which makes it easy to keep everyone occupied at once. There are picnic tables and restrooms on site, so you can actually plan to stay a while without scrambling. Good spot for ages 2 through 12, and the open grass field means there’s room to spread out even when it gets busy.
