Alms Park

Perched up on the east side hills, this park has some of the best views of the Ohio River you’ll find anywhere in Cincinnati — and most people don’t even know it exists. The playground is pretty simple, slides and swings, but honestly that’s fine because the kids always end up running the open grass field anyway. Pack a lunch, because the picnic tables and BBQ area are genuinely useful here, and the shade trees keep things cool even in July. There are walking trails that dip toward the wooded edges if you want to stretch your legs after eating. It’s one of those spots that feels removed from the city even though you’re not far at all.
