Pilot Butte Neighborhood Park

If you live on the east side of Bend, this park is basically your backyard — and honestly, you could do a lot worse. The big draw is Pilot Butte itself, a cinder cone you can hike or walk a paved road to the top of, and the views from up there are genuinely worth the climb. Back down at the base, there’s open grass where kids can run around while you decompress on a bench, and the restrooms mean you’re not cutting the visit short. The paved access makes it workable for strollers and wheelchairs too, which not every Bend park can claim. Good for a quick after-school loop or a longer morning out — it earns its spot in the regular rotation.
