Honestly, for a town the size of Emporium, Prospect Park punches above its weight. Kids from toddlers up through age 12 have plenty to work with — slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox that the little ones will absolutely refuse to leave. The shade trees make a real difference on hot summer days, and the picnic tables mean you can actually settle in for a few hours without scrambling for somewhere to sit. Parents can keep an eye on things easily, which matters more than people admit. The walking path and open grass field give older kids room to burn off energy once they’ve cycled through the equipment a few times.
