Northmont Playground

Small but solid, this Reading city park punches above its weight for families with little kids. The playground gear is geared toward toddlers and early elementary age, so it’s not trying to be everything to everyone — and that’s actually a good thing. Older siblings or parents can shoot hoops on the basketball court or kick around a ball on the soccer field while the younger ones do their thing. Restrooms on-site make it a legit option for longer visits, which not every neighborhood park around here can say. Street parking is pretty straightforward, and the urban location means it’s easy to fold into a day out in the city.
