Shikellamy State Park: Marina Section

The marina section of Shikellamy is honestly one of the better-kept secrets along the Susquehanna — locals who know, know. That 3-mile paved path is solid for a morning walk or bike ride, and the river views don’t get old. Grab one of the shaded picnic tables and you’ve got yourself a solid afternoon without spending a dime. There are swings too, which sounds simple, but sitting there watching the water while the boats go by is genuinely relaxing. Restrooms on-site make it easy for families, and the whole place has a calm, unhurried feel that’s hard to find this close to town.
