Sand underfoot instead of wood chips — already a win for the little ones who inevitably end up sitting on the ground anyway. Frank Olson is one of those parks that doesn’t try too hard but gets the basics right: equipment that’s actually kept up, plenty of open grass to run around in, and enough space that it never feels crowded. The tennis courts are a nice bonus if you’ve got older kids or want something to do while they play. Being a short walk from a swimming pool makes it a solid half-day option in the summer.
