Central Playground

Lakeshore Park is one of those places Knoxville locals genuinely treasure, and the playground here is a big reason why. It’s rarely packed, which makes a real difference when you’ve got kids who actually want space to run. The slides keep the younger ones busy while older kids can wander over to the soccer field or hit the walking trails that wind near the water. With a pond nearby and forest edges all around, it feels less like a typical city park and more like you’ve stumbled onto something worth keeping to yourself. Good for toddlers, good for teenagers — not many spots pull that off.
