Whitsett Park playground

The slides here are solid for the younger kids, and there’s enough open grass around them that older ones aren’t just standing there waiting for a turn. The walking path is the real draw for a lot of locals — it cuts through some genuinely nice wooded stretches, so it doesn’t feel like you’re just looping a parking lot. Bring a blanket and the picnic stuff, because that open field is big enough that you won’t feel like you’re on top of other families. Restrooms are on-site, which matters more than people admit when you’ve got a 3-year-old. Good spot for a low-key afternoon if you’re anywhere on the north Nashville side.
