Veterans Park

Locals know this is one of the better parks in the Williamsburg area — the playground setup is legitimately impressive, with a zipline, water feature, climbing structure, and slides that keep kids busy for hours. There’s a fenced-off section for the little ones, which parents of toddlers will appreciate more than they expect. The restrooms are actually clean, the shade trees do real work on hot days, and the picnic tables make it easy to set up for a full afternoon. Trails run along the forest edge if you want to stretch your legs, and there’s a basketball court and open grass field for older kids who’ve outgrown the playground. It’s the kind of park you end up at every weekend without really planning to.
