If you’re dealing with a hot Everett summer day, this is honestly one of the better spots to ride it out with kids. The shade trees do actual work here — the play area stays cool enough that you’re not rushing everyone back to the car after twenty minutes. Kids aged 3 to 12 have plenty to keep them busy between the slides, swings, and climbing structure, and the open grass field gives them room to just run around like maniacs when they need a change of scenery. Picnic tables and clean restrooms make it easy to actually stay a while instead of packing up early. Low-key, well-kept, and not usually overrun — worth knowing about if you’re in the Lowell neighborhood.
