Upper Manito Playground

Locals know Manito Park pretty well, and the playground up in the upper section is genuinely one of the better spots in Spokane for kids in that 2-12 range. The splash pad gets busy on hot summer days for good reason — it’s a solid cool-down option and the little ones absolutely lose their minds over it. There are separate zones for younger kids and older ones, which makes a real difference when you’ve got a toddler and a second-grader to wrangle at the same time. Shade trees, covered seating, clean restrooms, and picnic tables mean you can actually settle in for a few hours without suffering. Toss in a soccer field and open grass and you’ve got a full afternoon sorted.
