Creekside Park

If you live on the south side of Anchorage, you already know about this spot. The walking path winds through some genuinely pretty scenery with the forest and beach both within easy reach, so it never feels like you’re just circling a parking lot. There’s a solid basketball court for pickup games, a big open grass field that kids absolutely tear apart on weekends, and the BBQ and picnic area actually has decent shade — rare enough in a park that it’s worth mentioning. It’s the kind of place where you can spend a full afternoon without it feeling like you planned anything.
