Foreshore Play Park

Strathclyde Country Park is one of those places locals genuinely rate, and the play area here is a solid reason families keep coming back. The slides keep the younger ones busy while you get the BBQ going — yes, there are proper BBQ spots and picnic tables, so make a day of it. Trails wind through the trees and down toward the loch, which makes it easy to stretch your legs once the kids have burned off some energy on the equipment. Parking and toilets on site mean you’re not scrambling, which matters when you’ve got little ones in tow. Good for ages two through twelve, and honestly one of the better free days out in the area.
