Ravenscraig’s play area punches well above its weight for a free local park — the zipline alone is worth the trip, and the kids will queue for it repeatedly. There’s a solid climbing structure and a decent slide alongside it, so younger ones don’t feel left out while the older ones hog the zip. Adults aren’t forgotten either, with a football pitch and outdoor gym kit on site, which honestly makes it one of the more well-rounded spots in Motherwell. Grab one of the benches and you’ve got a full afternoon sorted without spending a penny.
