If you’re already heading to Hamilton Gardens, the playground is a solid reason to build in extra time. The slides and swings cover a good range of ages — little ones have their own space, and older kids aren’t stuck waiting for toddlers to clear the equipment. Shade is genuinely not a problem here; the mature trees do most of the heavy lifting, and there’s plenty of room to set up at a picnic table without feeling cramped. Parking is easy, the toilets are kept clean (which, honestly, isn’t something you can say about every park in the region), and the whole thing sits within the gardens so the backdrop is actually lovely. A proper half-day out rather than a quick stop.
