Lake Rotokaeo Playground, Minogue Park, Forest Lake

Forest Lake locals know this one well, and for good reason — the combo of a proper water feature, sandbox, slides, and that lake sitting right there in the background makes it genuinely hard to leave. Kids aged one through twelve can all find something to do, whether that’s the bike track (great for building confidence), shooting hoops, or just running loose on the grass field. Shade trees and covered seating mean parents aren’t baking in the sun while they watch, and the restrooms and picnic tables mean you can actually make a day of it. The walking path around the lake is worth doing while the kids tire themselves out.
