Judy Harris (North Coombs) Park

North Coombs has a few decent parks, but this one’s a solid pick if you’ve got kids who actually want to *do* something. The climbing wall leading up to the steep slide is the clear crowd favourite — older kids will keep lapping it while you’re still trying to get settled on the bench. There’s a good spread of swings too, including toddler seats, so you’re not fighting over equipment with families whose kids are a different age to yours. The shade sails do real work here, which matters more than people realise once summer hits in Canberra. Just don’t expect easy parking — it’s tight, so arriving early or on foot makes life a lot simpler.
