Ruth Park – Holden’s Creek Pond Playground

If you haven’t been to this one yet, you’re missing out — it’s genuinely one of the better playgrounds in the ACT. The birdhouse theme runs all the way through the equipment, which sounds gimmicky but actually makes the whole place feel considered and cohesive. Kids get a zipline, a sandbox, water play, musical gear, and climbing structures that actually challenge them, while parents can grab a shaded picnic table or fire up one of the BBQs without losing sight of anyone. Holden’s Creek Pond sits right there alongside it, so the setting feels less like a car park with equipment and more like an actual place worth spending an afternoon. Parking’s easy, toilets are on-site, and the walking path around the area means you can burn off any remaining energy before the drive home.
