Meyrick Place Playground

If your kid’s the type who thinks most playgrounds are boring, bring them here. The main structure is genuinely tall — the sliding pole has a real drop to it, not the watered-down version you see at newer parks — and the climbing chain ladder and suspended metal bridge actually require some effort. There’s a dolphin seesaw and a little general store with a counter that younger ones tend to obsess over. A few shade trees keep things tolerable in summer, and there’s a bench right in front of the action so you’re not craning your neck from across the park. Street parking is easy enough, and the footpaths connect well if you’re walking over from nearby streets.
