Gilruth Street Playground

Locals have been pretty happy since they put in that new large plastic slide — it’s a proper one with a staircase, not just some token piece of equipment. There’s also an older metal slide if the little ones want options. The tree shade here is genuinely good, which makes a difference on a Canberra summer afternoon, and the picnic tables are positioned well underneath them. A handful of bench seats round it out nicely for parents who just want to sit and watch. Nothing flashy, but it does the job for a quiet Hackett afternoon.
