Locals know this one’s worth the trip — there’s enough going on to keep kids from 2 to 12 actually busy, which isn’t always easy to pull off. The sandbox keeps the little ones happy while older kids work the climbing structure and slides, and when they’re done with that there’s a basketball court and soccer field to burn off whatever energy’s left. Shade trees and covered seating make it genuinely comfortable to hang around rather than just surviving the wait, and the picnic tables with water views nearby make it an easy lunch stop. It’s well kept too, which you notice more once you’ve been to a few that aren’t.
