The flying fox is the obvious drawcard here, and honestly it delivers — kids queue up for it while parents grab a bench with one of the better lake views you’ll find at any playground in Canterbury. It’s right in the thick of things in Lake Tekapo township, so you can tick off the supermarket run or a coffee stop without going far. The open grass gives younger ones room to roam while older kids work out who gets the zipline next. Shaded seating, picnic tables, and solid parking make it easy to stretch a visit out longer than you planned.
