Chipmunks Playland & Café Rolleston

Rolleston locals with young kids pretty much have this place on rotation, and honestly it makes sense. The setup is well thought out — separate zones for the littlies (0–4) and the older crew (5–11) means you’re not constantly worrying about a toddler getting bowled over by a flying eight-year-old. It’s enclosed, which is a big deal when you just want to sit down for five minutes, and the café is decent enough that you won’t be rushing to leave. Staff are genuinely friendly rather than just going through the motions, and the place is kept noticeably clean — something you really appreciate once you’ve been to a few that aren’t.
