Compact little spot that punches above its weight for what’s actually there. The half-size football nets get a solid workout most afternoons — kids from toddlers upward seem to find something to do here, which is saying something for a park this size. It’s not going to be your all-day destination, but for a quick kickabout in Barnard Castle it does the job without any fuss.
