Blaise Castle Play Area

If you’re anywhere near Henbury, this one’s worth the trip. The play area sits within Blaise Castle Estate, so you’ve got that brilliant backdrop of woodland trails and open fields alongside a solid lineup of equipment — zipline, merry go round, climbing structure, slides, the works. There’s genuinely something here for toddlers right through to teenagers, which makes it one of the few spots in Bristol where you’re not constantly watching half your kids while the other half are bored. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables get snapped up fast on weekends, and the shade trees actually make summer visits bearable. Parking’s on site, toilets are there when you need them, and the pond nearby gives you somewhere nice to wander when the kids finally run out of steam.
