Cotham Gardens

Tucked into one of Bristol’s quieter residential pockets, this Victorian park punches well above its weight for local families. The fenced play area is genuinely useful — slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandpit means kids of different ages actually have something to do rather than fighting over the same piece of equipment. Parents tend to park themselves on the shaded benches and can keep an eye on everything without much effort, which matters. Beyond the play area there’s a decent stretch of open grass for a kickabout or a picnic, and the walking path around the park is one of those routes you end up doing on autopilot. It’s the kind of place Cotham locals clearly know about and the rest of the city hasn’t quite cottoned on to yet.
