Memorial Park Playground

Honestly, this one flies under the radar for most people outside Burnley, which is a shame. The park carries a bit of history to it, and that adds something you don’t really get at your standard modern play site — it feels like it actually belongs to the community rather than just dropped there. There’s a decent open grass field for a kickabout or just letting kids run themselves tired, and the play area itself is solid year-round, not the kind of place that turns miserable the second it drizzles. Local families have clearly claimed this spot as their own, and once you’ve been a few times, you’ll understand why.
