St.Oswald’s Park

Locals round here know St. Oswald’s is one of those parks that actually gets looked after properly — the gardens are tidy, the equipment isn’t falling apart, and there’s never that grim feeling you get at some council parks. Kids are well catered for with slides, swings, a seesaw, climbing frame, and a merry-go-round, so there’s enough to keep different ages happy without anyone kicking off that there’s nothing to do. The walking paths edge close to the treeline which gives it a proper outdoorsy feel, and the open grass field is great when you just want to let them run. Picnic tables, benches, toilets, and parking are all on site — basically everything you need for a relaxed afternoon out without having to plan too hard.
