Taunton Green

Right in the heart of Taunton, this green is one of those spots that genuinely works for the whole family. The enclosed play area keeps the little ones contained — swings and slides, nothing fancy, but solid enough to keep kids from 2 upwards entertained while you actually get five minutes to breathe. If you’ve got older kids, the basketball court and soccer field mean they’re not hanging around getting bored. Dog walkers are a constant presence on the open grass, so don’t be surprised if you end up chatting to half the neighbourhood. Parking nearby makes it easy to swing by without the usual town centre hassle.
