Vivary Park Play Area

Vivary Park is probably the best all-rounder for families in Taunton — and locals know it. The play area has proper variety: slides, swings, a climbing structure, sandbox, water feature, and an actual play train that younger kids absolutely lose their minds over. It’s well looked after, the paths are easy to navigate, and the equipment is genuinely inclusive so everyone gets a go. You’ve got toilets on site, good sightlines for keeping an eye on the kids, and a cafe nearby when you need a coffee and five minutes of peace. With a pond, open grass, and a football pitch all within the same park, you can easily make a full afternoon of it.
